So several interesting/annoying/cool things happened today.. and these events don't happen every day. But then again I guess no two unique events happen more than once much..that's why it's "unique". Anyways, enough with my ramblings..on with the "events".
Event 1:
This is probably the most recent one: my internet failed me. I know! The precious device I am on every day, faithfully, devoting and spending countless hours on..okay, this is sounding weird. moving on. Yea, my brother's wireless internet linksys managed to fail me since weeks ago and tonight when I got home from work at the PNE, it just went plop on me and refused to operate! So now I'm on my brother's laptop with limited time on it. Come to think of it, not having internet really makes me wonder what I would turn out like if I didn't spend the last two to three yaers of my life without constant internet access. It would sure be a hell of a lot different, that's for sure. I mean, for one I wouldn't have access to sidereel, which means I wouldn't have watched all three seasons of House (gasp!) nor Bones. Which fortunately would lead to me being able to fall asleep last night (yea last night I couldn't get Bones out of my head and I was so freaked out my heart kept on pounding well into an hour after I laid down to sleep, I ended up doing something I did as a child-crawling into my dad's/parent's bed to sleep. shhh!) Anyways, moving on. Plus, during the last two hours without internet I finished another section of socials notes, collected the garbage and dumped it and took a shower, considering I couldn't think of anything to do. Which leads me to think, DAMN, I really need to refresh some old hobbies/get some new ones. This is an issue I've been braced upon a couple months back, I just refused to face it and solve it. But I guess I'll have to sooner or later. My old hobbies included..knitting, reading... yea, that was pretty much it, back when I only had half an hour of internet access a day. Wow! Damn, now I think about it, if it weren't for the internet and the beauty blogs on there I wouldn't be the vain whore I am today! WOW. Okay, I have a feeling this section is getting a bit too long. MOVING ON.
Event two:
I haven't worked at mcDonalds since two days before the crew BBQ at kits beach, because I changed my availability to only tuesdays and wednesdays, so Faryn decided to give me less shifts. So naturally, I didn't find out about yet another crew outing arranged by my dear managers- PNE. Apparently one of my managers was performing tonight, dancing. One of my other managers informed me of this fact while I actually had a shift at mcD's today, when John waved around a sign that said "(name of performing manager here), please give me a small chocolate shake!" and waggled his hips. ROFL. I guess you could tell by the sign what ethnicity my manager is. But anyways, what? PNE without telling me? D:< Oh well, I guess that's what I get for not working there for so long. (hey, not my fault I didn't get sceduled!)
Event three:
The liquid sugar spillage. While I was doing a closing shift at PNE tonight, in the middle of my shift the candy runners were doing their 9pm run, and out came two candy runners looking about my age racing trolleys, one of them with a bucket of liquid sugar on it, or so my co-worker that night Vincent told me. The only part I was aware of was when one of the candy runners told Vincent and I, "oh, we'll get you another bucket." Only then I was aware of what happened and looked around five to ten feet in front of the concession stand and saw a giant pool of liquid sugar. I didn't realize how big of an impact it had to the park until a customer told me that two people had already slipped on it and to mop it up or something. So I phoned the kitchen and asked them to get us a new bucket of liquid sugar and to do something about the mess. Before the kitchen dude even showed up some other high level authority that works at the PNE saw the mess and summoned all the other bosses, managers, supervisors etc, and they handled the situation by first surrounding the area with metal trash cans and standing around it, warning people not to step over the wet area. Then after around 10 minutes of that they proceeded to pour large amounts of some sort of moisture absorbing powder over the wet area, and waited for another 10 minutes. After that, they all pulled out giant broomsticks and swept the whole area until it was almost clean. Oh, and they also put a caution tape around the area, which was pretty much..around Vincent and I's concession stand. Which meant one thing: Customers could no longer access our stand anymore and we were free to close! So long story short I made Vincent do the closing and I went home. :) (sorry, vince!)
So since my brother's gonna kick me off his laptop soon I better wrap this up.
The above were my three main highlights of the day :)
hope that entertained you in some way, form, whatever.
since I don't have internet access in my own room, I'm probably going to go read a book/magazine and sleep or something.
goodnights!
